Assassin's Creed

Let me paint paint a picture for you. You leap from the shadows and assassinate your target. In a flash you climb up a latter and make off across the rooftops followed closely by guards and soldiers. You take down a rooftop soldier who is guarding your escape route with a throwing knife and in one swift movement throw his partner to his death and then leap off the roof disappearing into a bail of hay one hundred feet below. This is Assassin's Creed.

To start this game has an intriguing story and some great game play. The stealth kills and battle game play is awesome. After some practice it makes you feel like you are the greatest warrior of all time and the stealth kills whether by the secret blade, throwing knife or tossing an opponent off a roof can't be beat.

Some people said that the game play was repetitive but I felt there was a lot of variety in how you took down each hit. You usually have four options between fighting your way in, hiding in a group of scholars, climbing to the roofs and dropping in from above or strolling in the front gate.

Each mission before your hit you have to gather information on your target by finding vantage points, interrogating informants, pickpocketing minions and saving citizens to gain their aid. I could agree that this got a little repetitive but it also made sense to me.
Overall the great story line, action and the amazing and addictive feats that you can perform as an Assassin make this game worth while. The ending might annoy you but it sets the series up for a sequel.
